I have an Asus A7N8X-E wian an AMD Sempron (barton) 3000+ and 3x512Mb Kingston PC3200.

the problem I have is the following, I can run the memory at 173 Mhz maximum, if I try anything more, the memtest will give me an error from test 7 to the end.

I've tried to loose the timings, but I can't achieve the 200 Mhz

Can anyone tell me why this is happening? I mean PC3200 means 200 Mhz, why can't I achieve it?

Maybe because you have sync FSB - RAM... If you have a 333 MHz FSB (166 DDR), which I think you have, your memory will run at 333 MHz.
Maybe when you increase the memory's clock you're also increasing CPU's clock.
Watch out for that. I hope this helps! :)
