My mobo came with this weird-looking thing that looks like a PCI slot case slot filler, but with cuts in it as if for venting, but it has a little arm coming off the top of it and it has me mystified as to what it's for.

Anyone know what this is for? The vent part is obvious to me, but I don't understand the little arm on it...

I'm wondering whether that arm is intended as additional support for the SLi bridge connector, although why it would be needed is a bit of a mystery.

might be a bracket for an add on card - maybe extra usb/firewire or a modem/wireless? Just a wild guess...

It's to hold the SLI bridge down for transport and cooling, if you go to alot of lan parties you don't need to worry about it working it's way off, and it lets the first video card get a bit more air since there's another right next to it :)
