i am buying a computer with this config,
> Athlon 64 X2 4200+
> PC3200 1GB (512MB x 2)
> GeForce 7600 GT
> 250GB SATA II
> LG DVD-Writer
details at http://canadacomputers.com/index.p [...] 70.540.760

i will add my old IDE hard drive to it, probably add another geforce 7600 GT, maybe add 1 more GB of RAM.

is 450 watts going to be enough for those upgrades?

if this Antec SmartPower 2.0 SP-450 is what you are getting in the bundle, you are good to go even with your upgrades.

Although, you should consider getting the 2gb (2x1gb) right from the getgo to avoid any memory speed/timing issues...

I'd save both power and money and skip the 2 7600GTs and get 1 7900GT.

can you clarify what memory speed/timing issues may arise with 512MBx2?

i would not deliberately buy two 7600gt instead of one 7900gt. because the bundle deal WAS $200 cheaper than buying each individually. i was thinking about adding another 7600gt if needed after several months. but after checking the price now, the bundle is actually several dollars more. maybe i got the prices wrong, maybe they changed the price. i don't know.

sure, say you have 2 pairs of killer crucial DDR400@2-2-2-6-1T some boards will say 2-2-2-6-2T with all four or worse DDR333@(4/5) memory divider!

To get some speed back you have force 3-3-3-6-1T or something. I have seen boards that won't post with all four until you force timings with a single pair, but can't remember specifics - probably w/ high-latency value ram. With the 2T or 333(4/5) scenario you will definitly feel the pain.
