The two computers in my Sig are my main ones, and I have not upgraded in two years now, but I feel the urge every spring. I will likely keep my motherboard/CPU for at least another year (ABIT NF7-S with a mobile Barton running around 2.4 GHz), but I was considering upgrading to one of the AGP X800 (something) ATI cards and adding another GB of ram to my system. Would that be a waste or will I truly see the effects of such an upgrade considering my system.

Considering my 2.4 GHz cpu, will I get any use out of 2GB or ram instead of 1GB?

Considering everything, Will an AGP X800 series upgrade be worth while considering the fact that I already have a 9800 Pro.

My needs? Primarily gaming. Thanks...

An X800 would be a pretty hefty upgrade for you. I went from an 5900 Ultra to an x800xt and it was a big deal.
As for the second gig of RAM, most games won't make use of it. Oblivion and BF2 are about the only ones that would really make use of the extra memory.

OK Man . Upgradeing From 9800Pro or Even 9800XT To X800 Series Will Be A Huge Upgrade ... I Suggest X800XL Or X800GTO ... Another Think Is You Won`t See Much Improvment By Upgrading To 2Gb Ram , Unless You Play Oblivion & Battlefiled 2 ... But If You Have Money Go & Buy Another 1Gb Ram ...
