Just give the memory more voltage. can be done in BIOS. Set it at 2T too.

ok im goin to do that if anyting i well post it.

For what it's worth, I have 4 512 meg sticks in the same board and it seems to be working OK. Well, I have a number of issues with the board, but the RAM config doesn't seem to be one of them. 8(

how cause i cant put 4x512 it keep restarting and i cant go to damn bios.

I'm having the same problem. Upgraded to latest bios(f9) No overclocking at all. If I put in 4th stick of Kingston 512 400 then computer doesn't boot. I have changed power voltage to 2T and still no boot. 3 sticks works OK
Any suggestions appreciated
Thanks

Damn.. just put 2 sticks, do the change in BIOS, restart the computer, let it post, turn it off, install the other sticks, then try again!!!

Ok.. you don't get it..

Voltage is in volts, or v, like in 2.7v. RAM timing can be 2T. Having it at 2T will make the timing perfect for 4 sticks, but if there is no sufficient voltage, then the memory won't work. find someting like RAM voltage or DDR voltage (or anything that has something related to memory and voltage..) in BIOS.

Thanks Pat, No I didn't get it. I have changed my DDR voltage from normal to +0.1V and to +0.2V and still no boot with 4 sticks. I understand you may not know all motherboard bios's, should there be more adjusted in the voltage section thean whait I have or are those 2 changes usually sufficient?

Other than running at 2.7v, 2T and 333DDR(166MHz), that's all I know about running 4 sticks

this is what happens when you buy something with K8 in the name
lol

Well, I always got something with K7, K8 in the name and have yet to have a problem.. OTOH, I often get problem with thing that has P4 in its name.. That's why I went K8...

Well, I don't have any advice that Pat hasn't already given, but I have 4gb's of ram in my system(4 1gig sticks) and don't have any issues. Didn't have to up the voltage or anything. It did downclock them from 400 to 333, but I bumped em back up to 400 and they work fine. Of course Windows only picks up around 3.5, but that's another story that should be fixed with Vista anyway.
