Good build for $900

I think im retarded because i cant seem to put together a good list of parts for $900 with a os. the things i know i want are a 7900gt and a AMD athlon 3500 or better, at least a 450watt psu and i really dont care what else. every time i try it ends up being somewhere in the range of $1000. so now i really think i am mentally incapable of anything.

Any and all help greatly appreciated.

I suggest adding at least $200 - $300 for your build which should also cover shipping charges.

You can't even build your proposed system using cheap budget components for $900.

If you want a complete build that comes with everything except the monitor for $900, then I sugguest cut it down to the A64 3000+ and a 7600GT.

795$, you could spend a little more in cooling or a better proc (BUT how will you do with shipping costs?)

Also, you could make a scarifice and cut 80$ and get an x1800GTO

Shipping is only aobut 50-75 bucks with a full build. And since Newegg doesnt tax in most states you should be good

Thanks for all the help, i know some other people have been bitching lately about others not going into the forumz and looking for similar questions that have already been anwsered, but this really didnt fit into any of the ones i found. I think i am going to be using the rig that 7H4_D00D3 came up with, if anyone has anything better that would be nice but this is fine for now. now all i need to find is a good PSU for about $75 that is 450 watts or higher

Rosewill is simply a PSU of unknown origins bought buy Newegg.com in bulk and the slapped their own housebrand name "Rosewill" on it.

Okay, I have a few questions. First, your current rig in your signature looks pretty close to what you are intending to build, so I assume this build is for a friend or somebody else? If it isn't, you should seriously consider just plopping that 7900gtx in your current machine and calling it good because you really can't go that much faster than your 4000+ OC'd to 2.8GHz. Especially not with that 3500+ that you mention.
