For sale is an excellent condition HP Omnibook XE2 Laptop. I purchased it used and never really got around to using it. It comes with Windows xp. For more specs on it, visit

First off it doesn’t come with a battery. But it will come with a plug in power source. Also, there is something wrong with the screen. You can see the screen but the picture is very dim. Im not sure how to fix it but i can provide you with links that can help fix it.

I will also throw in a spare screen. It is the same one as on the laptop, just a 10”. As Well as a spare cd drive and floppy drive. I will also throw in a wireless Netgear PC Card for an extra 30$.

Im only asking 150 for the laptop and 30 for the pc card but im open to all offers. Thank you and if u would like more pics or more information, feel free to e-mail me at b.coonan@gmail.com

If you would like pictures or even a video of me using it to verify its workings, e-mail me.

Updated link.

HP OmniBook XE2 - PIII 600 MHz - 14.1" TF
Processor: Intel Pentium III (600 MHz)
RAM installed: 64 MB SDRAM
Weight: 6.8 lbs
Display: 14.1 in TFT active matrix Integrated
OS provided: Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition (Preinstalled)

The dim display is due to the florecent bulb going out. THIS IS NOT EASY to replace by yourself. The tubes are very thin and break really easy. $50-80 for the part.

OR.... The FL-Inverter board has been damaged and is no longer supplying the bulb with enough power. This is around $75 to replace, and not very convienent.

The 2nd display's FL-Inverter board would not be interchangable, though the florecent bulb would be (though dimmer then a full lengh one intended for this laptop's original screen).

Hope that info helps for any prospect buyers.

Note to OP, if this is not the laptop you are talking about, please post the correct link to it, and the part number found underneath.
