confused.....which should i buy.

i know there are many topics about buying new computers. i read them all and it doen't seem to help me much. anyways.....i'm planning to buy a system+moniter within $1800 canadian dollar including tax.so..here we go.

Motherboard: a stable motherboard that supports DDR2 so i have more upgrade path in the future

CPU: something compatiable with the motherboard.

videocard: BFG grforce 7900gtx OC

moniter :viewsonic vx2025vm

ram: so far haven't decided yet cuz all the mhz and gb kinda confuse me.

hard drive: WD 250 G sata3g 16 mb

case and poweer supply:dunno which to buy. i don't need a fancy case.but a good power that along with a case that' compatiable with it.


planning to upgrade the MB and CPU and add more rams around a year or so.for now. something that last long and stable is wut i have on my mind. i suppoe when the conroe comes out i would wait a little while and then buy the motherboard that 's good along with it and add more ddr2 ram. thats wut i'm planning. any suggestion would be very thankful.

No gaurantee that Conroe will retrofit into 975x mobo, Bios update, or no.

But a P4 930 on 975X with Corsair RAM, with some judicious overclocking

will yield a potent system. Of course i would have recomended an a64 X2

system, but Conroe would have been completely out of the upgrade

criteria.



P.S. Not sure where in Canada you are(I'm in Ontario), but i don't have to

pay P.S.T. from NCIX.

That pretty much balances out the shipping costs, which are cheap.

BTW.....NCIX is in Richmond .BC.

Stay away from Tigerdirect, as they almost always sucker you in with a

mail-in-rebate.....Pain In The A**

yeah i just picked the p5wd2-e Premium. and going for PD805 since it' cheap for now .for conroe. i'm jut gonna get a new mother board along with it when i decide to upgrade again.

and by the way. i'm looking at this store for some of the part and their system. pretty cheap. but then i'm missing the video card and crosair memory...=(
