McAfee says hackers may target vehicles next

MCAfee says that your car may soon be the next target for hackers. They partnered with Wind River and released this PDF outlining the dangers that hackers can pose to the ever-growing number of connected road vehicles.

If this hacking involves anything dangerous such as uncontrollable acceleration or something like that, the companies will create extremely secure software, and the government will make massive enforcement efforts and severe punishments for this.

I wouldn't worry about it.

Well considering onstar is an unsecured link I'm not really surprised. Plus anything that allows phone access to your vehicle none of these are secure.
