IP PBX with FXO/FXS

We have been testing the Mitel ICS 7000 IP PBX in our office using SIP
softphone and hardphones. Right now the Mitel box communicates with a
Mediatrix 1204 FXO gateway to the PSTN. I would like to find out what
options I have for adding a 8 port FXS gateway such as for connecting
to a service provider like Vonage. I understand that Cisco 2600 has
4FXO/8FXS network modules. What I really don't understand is how the
whole architecture of this thing is supposed to look like. Does anyone
have any experience in this field?
