Hello:
Has anyone gotten one of the apple cinema displays to work on a pc? I've seen an adapter that goes from DVI to the apple plug but want to have some testimonials before i drop 1800 on that puppy. Thanks!

I have a 22 inch Apple Cinema Display on my system. You can have an adapter to get to work with the PC. I did not really like the LCD. I also have a 17.3 inch SGI SW1600 which also support the resolution of 1600 by 1024. I think the size of everything is great. The 22 inch Apple Cinema Display only support resolution upto 1600 by 1024 and everything appear very big on the display. Just imaging setting a 21 inch CRT to a low resolution. You also have limited seletion of Video Card most card does not have DVI connector that support the resolution 1600 by 1024.

since Apple Powermac use both Ati Rage/Radeon and now Nvidia Gf2mx/Gf4mx, I am sure those chipset will have the support resolution!

that might also be the case!

but if you know anything about Mac, you do know that you can take a pc Gf3/Gf2mx and flash it with the Mac version's bios, it will then be able to operate in a Mac!

is a well known fact and it just to show how similar it really is between the 2 version of the same chipset!

a few site to do some Mac research if you like
