I am thinking of a getting a 1GB SD Card for my iPAQ H3970 for storing maps
on but I seem to remember seeing some bad reports about Sandisk SD Cards not
performing well with the iPAQ, any one had good or bad experiences with
Sandisk cards or any other's?

All I can tell you is there have been alot of people saying they have had
problems with sandisk cards. I have 2 of them (128 and 256) and have never
had any problems.

I have a Sandisk Ultra II 512MB SD card and it's been behaving
perfectly so far in my iPAQ 5550, no hitches when playing music
or transferring files or other problems.

My sandisk (ultraII) works ok. The write speed from ppc to the sandisk is
good. The readspeed from the sandisk to the ppc is fast enough for playing
mp3 and movies but slow compared to other brands. Even 2 year old sd cards
perform better than the sandisk.

Thanks for the comments on your Sandisk card, judging from the few replies
to this question I have had the iPaq and Sandisk card may not have the
incompatibility problem I had thought they might, but it might not be the
best card for the iPaq even if it is a lot cheaper than most others.
