I just upgraded my PC to the following:
GA-K8NProSLI
2 gig PC 3200 (dual channel 4 x 512mb)
AMD Athlon 64 3200+
EVGA 7600GT
Seagate 250GB Sata2
So far I've had the following issues (which I am sad to say are common based on my google results...):
Temporary freeze on XP scrolling bar screen during boot up
- requested the firmware for my drive that should fix this.
BF2 drops connection all the time now
- Seems to be related to the nForce4 chipset based on many of the threads in this and other forums.
Now I noticed that occassionally when I boot, my usb mouse is dead, requiring a reboot to get it back online. I don't know what to think at this point. I've had MSI, Epox and Tyan boards in the past and had always heard the Gigabyte and Asus were a notch better. Now I have this board and I'm having nothing but very annoying problems with it!!! Has anybody been totally satisfied with this board? If so, please post your specs.
