Does anyone have any useful information or opinions regarding the virtualization features inside Intel's and AMD's chips? I'm am about to buy all the parts for the a new rig based around the Socket 939 but want to know more about what this new feature is capable of.

Right now, Window can't take full advantage of Pacifica or Vanderpool. The point of it is to allow a hypervisor to run underneath the kernel so that each OS has it's own resources, rather than the OS sharing resources with other virtual machines.
Virtual Server is pretty good, but you have to have Server 2003 to take full advantage of it. VMWare and Xen have hypervisors nearly ready for AMD(Pacifica).

Also, 939 will NOT have Pacifica.
