No. I am not sure what that is worth but it is not 1k.

You might...you might not. You might get a good deal on ebay. Though i don't think there's any way you'll get 1K after the release of Conroe.

Think at least 800 maybe?

800 you could probably get for sure. Maybe push it in the 900s

Your average buyer is not going to like it because it comes with no moniter, speakers, or OS for that price.  The tech savy won't like it at that price because it's not enough of a deal and it takes the fun out of building their own computer.  You might be able to find someone to buy it for 600-800, but I think you'd be best served by parting out the equipment.  I don't think ebay will be very kind if you try and auction the whole system, as ebayers generally don't care for white box computers, but Ebay is a seller's market when it comes to computer parts

I'd rather keep parts of the comp to use it for the next build than sell it out...

take the parts that you need for new comp... dont waste money buying newer parts that do the same thing...:

Keyboard/Mouse
HDD / ROM drives
Sound Card

then scrape the rest

Im sure you can get more than 1K for it, if you know how and where to sell. You should throw a monitor, keyboard and mouse for a better deal.

You didn't list your motherboard but...

Realistically speaking if you built that computer brand new right now it would cost less than $1000 so I'm not sure how you were planning on selling it used for that much.

I would say you won't get more than $600, and that only from someone who doesn't know much about computers.

Computer geeks might buy it for under $500 just for parts or to use as a base for HTPC, server.... etc.

As far as re-using:
HD's -> switching to SATA drives (one raptor 74gb and one 200gb 7200)
sound-> switching to the X-fi extreme music
DVD drives -> switching to a dual layer burner
Keyboard/mouse -> switching to the logitech G7 laser and the new MS ergo keyboard

yea the soundcard is the one thing I debated about actually upgrading but I figured i am doin the whole system, why not throw in the new X-fi sound card.

I would say that is the $600-800 range, but definitely not a thousand.  Good luck with selling it!

It looks a lot better than some of the overpriced junk you find at retail outlets -- Even if it is used, I'll bet you'd have no problem finding someone to give you $600 for it.

In order for someone to purchase this you gota make it a deal for them, I mean not many people will buy a system that is used for 5-600 hundred. I would just focus on selling this computer off piece by piece

You could get 1000 for it, but it all depends on how fast you are looking to sell is, sell for 800 if you want it gone faster, on eBay you could probably get around 400.
