Accelero X1 and a PNY 6800GT AGP

I read on a newegg review that a guy had a Accelero X1 and his card is a PNY 6800GT AGP, which is my card. he had his mem chips too low on the board for the heatsink to touch them rendering them way too hot. i was wondering does anyone else have any info about this, does anyone have my card and that cooler???? cause i want to get it and have it work.

also id easily buy the NV5 rev 2 or 3 if it meant id get it to work. i hear there are certain cards with probs too, and want to know if anyone has a PNY 6800gt AGP and either of these coolers. my temps on my stock fan are near 115c when under load, and need to get this fixed.

I just installed my Accelero X1 on my PNY 6800 GS 256mb

I cut the provided thermal pads in half and put one half on each piece of memory, w/ arctic silver (i had already put it on the memory, expecting it to hit the heat sink).

I am hoping that this works.

Is there a way to monitor the memory temp?
