My box has standard DDR The card i'm interested in has DDR II memory
Compatible? I apologize but last time I upgraded they didn't have DDR II

I'm considering a Arcade FX GeForce 6200 / 256MB DDR2 / AGP 8x / DVI / VGA / HDTV / Video Card It's the only card I found under a 100$ that has HD options and will most likely be a temp card.

I'm still shopping though, TV out to my HD Wide screen is important to me, but so is gaming but I generally don't play high end FPS's, I'm more in to mmorpgs.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

You're right...that is a dumb question.

It doesn't matter. The gpu memory and system memory do not have to match.

Look at ATI fot better video out support. ATI offers VO directly from the card without the need for software like nVidia.

There is no such thing as a dumb question - although this comes close (just kidding.)

The DDR2 memory on the card does not directly interface with the DDR memory on the motherboard. It is used within the graphics subsystem directly.

Now for suggestions on the card, I would advise you to get the fastest AGP card you can - assuming you don't want to switch out a the works to go for a PCI card. I have the AGP 6600GT from XFX, and I am happy with it. There are better cards out there - so take this with a grain of salt.

good luck.
