I Have a KV8-max Motherboard new fan, now is not booting and is beeping 2 short 1 long, the code is 9.0 on the display. just beeps??? 8O

sounds like one of the voltage capacitors has gone, if you got it within a year for £12 abit will replace, under RMA give the UK help line a phone the guys are really helpfull as the 90 code means unable to boot past the memory test, so stuffed.

there's a difference between 90 & 9.0 though.
9.0 is where the BIOS should take over from uGuru.
Have you tried clearing CMOS?
It's also been seen to sometimes be power related.
