Poor Performance with bf2 REALLY NEED HELP

Hey guys i'm kind of struggling with a problem on battlefield 2. I recently upgraded to a geforce 6600 256mb and 1gb ram (coupled with my Prescott p4 2.8 and 5400 rpm hardrive.

I wanted to be able to run large maps with either medium 1024*786 or medium no dynamic shadows 1280*1024. And according to all the the bencmarks ive seen i should be able to run it smothly.

The problem is i only get about 25fps av and althogh someimtimes its ubove 30 it really varies e.g 25, 55 20 32 etc so its kind of not smooth. Help would be really areiceiated on this one

BF2 uses about 1.2Gb of ram to run smoothly at high settings, so there you need another 1Gb on your system.

Hi,

I am running a G6600, and should run 1024*786@medium easily (I have only the demo, on line it runs fine on busy servers) and I have 1gig of ram. Have you updated al your drivers? From your mobo and graphic card.

(now I oc'ed my card I run it at 1280*960@high :twisted: )
