n00b question about overclocking and temps
Last response: in Overclocking
I see everyone stating what their CPU temps are before and after installing various mods and cooling devices. My question is..how do you check temps? My setup is listed in my sig. Thanks.

SpeedFan, being the great program it is, can cause system crashes on some computers even with newer equipment. I recommend downloaded a version of Everest Software, it displays alot of information about the computer in addition to temperatures for CPU, Hard Drives and GPU(s).
Since you have an ASUS Motherboard, I would recommend downloading ASUS Probe (or PC Probe, basically the same thing) as it displays temps for your CPU and chipset.
