Hi. Could anyone confirm whether Messenger on PPC2003 should stay connected
or disconnect if connected via GPRS when a phone call is made ? If it
should disconnect, is there any way to have it auto reconnect after the call
is finished ?

No it should disconnet. This is due to the radio only able to do one
function at a time ie GPRS or Voice. I'm waiting for the day when they use
the class of radio where both can be done together. For right now, gprs is
suspended when making a voice call.

Hi Eric. Is this something specific to Windows Mobile based PDAs ? The
reason I ask is that I had a P900 (Symbian based) before buying my PPC2003
and was able to use Agile Messenger or IM+ (MSN Messenger equivalent
programs) at the same time as making a phone call becuase they were able to
deal with the suspended GPRS session.

I don't think it's specific to windows mobile devices as I know people using
treo 600's that have the same issue. If anything it could be up to the
software you are trying to run in suspend mode. Having a constant data flow
may be needed with some programs to keep it going. I have seen other
programs on windows mobile devices that will work in suspend mode.
