I'm thinking about getting the R1800 rather than the R800 for photo
printing. But I'm not seeing then in any of the online stores like
Newegg. When can we expect to start seeing them for real?

The R1800 over the R800 appears to be a good choice, however, the Canon
i9900 might be a better choice.

If that is the case good luck with the R1800. I hope you plan on using
OEM Epson inks.

I have not heard of a lot of successes with 3rd party PIGMENTED ink in
Epson printers.
