Hi, I think I have got myself into a pretty unique situation which I can't find any documentation on. i have just bought an X1800 master card 512mb because it was cheaper than the X1800XT, and seemed to have the same specs. It then dawned on me it wasnt just crossfire ready, but it was the master card. The problem is, I have an old Intel 915G based motherboard, which of course only has the one pci-e 16x slot. My question is, will it work on its own in a non- crossfire board? Thanks

The only difference between the Xfire cards and the 'stock' cards is that they havd a compositing chip to combine the outputs of the two cards, much as alienware used via a seperate board to do well before the release of SLi

This is what causes most of the Xfire cards to be limited to 1600x1200x60Hz, because its operating on the final output.

Its also why I wont touch Xfire :/
