This is my first real attempt at overclocking my computer, I purchased a Zalman CNPS9500 and installed it today with the goal of overclocking my Athlon XP 64 3200+ Venice on an Abit AN8-V motherboard with 2gigs of Corsair XMS DDR400 PC3200. Right now I have it OC'd to 2.27ghz with a cpu vcore of 1.475. My temps idle around 40c. I've tried to overclock it further than that and it becomes unstable. I know it is possible to overclock these processors as high as 2.75ghz with these coolers and I want to know what I can do to OC it up to somewhere between 2.4 and 2.6 ghz while maintaining stability. Anyone have any experience with this CPU/Mobo combo that can give me any advice? thanks.

The Athlon 64 3200+ should be at 1.4v at 2.25GHz, you're putting too many volts, but that's not your problem.

What speed is the RAM and what are the timings at right now as well as the voltage set for them. Also list your Power Supply as well.

what is your htt ratio set to? if you're OCing over 250mhz it needs to be 4 or 3x
