Kick ass! I have been waiting for them thx GW thank you so much!

Reply to dvdpiddy

They're a bit strange........and incomplete somehow?

I was able to adjust the colors on my second monitor better than anytime in the past with these though....

I need to game a bit and see how the performance is.

Post your findings as well.

Reply to GeneticWeapon

I only have 1 monitor. And when i am done i will post my results i'm gonna test it out now on cod2.

Reply to dvdpiddy

Hey how is your game performance with the new forceware? I would just like to know if its safe...

The performance is great. And if you dont like the new control panel, you can click a button, and switch back to the old one.

I'd like to say that the new control panel loads hella-fast, and is nothing like the piece of shiit, bloated Catalyst control center...

Reply to GeneticWeapon

I'm testing them out right now!

Reply to dvdpiddy

Nice; can't wait to try these out. :D

Reply to Heyyou27

Downloading now thanks. Will report back.... :D

I used the F.E.A.R. in game benchmark on release 90.

With SLI disabled on 1280x1024 2XMSAA 16XAF all details max SS disabled
Minimum: 35
Average: 59
Maximum: 130

0% below 25FPS
13% between 25 and 40FPS
87% above 40FPS

I'll test SLI performance later.

Reply to Heyyou27

ok started dl :D ill try to get some before and after on my 6800.

Reply to TenaciousleyDead

my frames went up a little but the biggest thing i saw was image quality, i noticed a biggg difference in the before and after of farcry plus my frames arent as unstable(like from 89-12 fps in 1 sec) much smoother. i dont really like the panel though. but thats alright 8)

Reply to TenaciousleyDead

I was fighting a driver issue for a rig I threw together for one of my sons.
I installed one of Asus's finest N6200 agp cards (knew better)
the asus driver was a nightmare.
would you believe the beta fixed the crash issue and atrifacts.
couldnt even load warcraft III before.
none of the other drivers cured this.
odd
I'll burn it in and keep you informed.

Many others have said this as well, the driver itself is quality.

Reply to GeneticWeapon

This sounds noob, but is this nf5 driver work on nf4 ultra boards or only AM2?

Reply to buckiller

This is just the Forceware display drivers we're talking about here, not the nForce drivers.

Reply to GeneticWeapon

Awsome!! Just got my 7900 GTX from EVGA today. I ran all kinda benchies to compare. I will test this out when I get home from work.

Well that answers my question lol

Reply to JonathanDeane

Woooo :D finally it's out, I hope it doesn't dissappoint me.

Thanks,

Boost in FEAR fps. And HL2 image quality is awesome. Control panel works great compared to the beta one they had before. Some people are complaining about profiles not saving and open gl games not working. All is good over here. If anyone is having trouble with them they recommend a reinstall. These are keepers.

Reply to rumcooler

No good on my 7800GTX 256 SLI setup.

Nvidia settings at 2xAA, 4xAF, Multisampling, Bilinear, and everything esle turn on.

FEAR settings at 2xFSAA, 4xAF, Volumetric light, SoftShadow and everything else on maximum.

Using X-Fi sound card on "Game Mode".

My results:

http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/7093/feartest1with90forceware5cx.th.png

 Why is this happening to me?

Anyways, I have noticed also that I can only view one temp monitor of my two cards, whichever it is. :(

I might switch back to the 84.21.

Reply to chuckshissle

Hmm i got some mixed results. 4xAA Antrioscopic filtering and medium settings i got 2 fps drop when the action heats up from 30-31 fps to 28-29 fps.
But my frames on idle went up from 60 -61 fps to 62 fps. Why?

Reply to dvdpiddy

In order to see 2 gpu temps you have to use coolbits or the old cp.

Of course it's faster, it's only a control panel, whereas the other is a control Centre. Haven't you even seen one of those? Control centre are FULL of Control Panels, so obviously it's going to be a bit slower it's like huge!

PS, CP with Traytools is ok for speed, but it'd be nice if they got CCC faster and less memory hoggish (not that it matters much with 2GBs).

PPS, Oh yeah these just crash my laptop, I'm going back to the 6.4s.

But the new nVidia control panel has control panels in it too

Reply to GeneticWeapon

I switch back to the 84.21 which has better performance than this new beta forceware on my SLI rig.

Reply to chuckshissle

I think i'll do the same see what happens.

Some VERY interesting things are in the release notes PDF file...for one it mentions that the driver works with the GeForce 7600 GT AGP card (woot!), another is that it allows for running 7300 series in SLI--implying not just the 7300GT but the GS and LE versions as well. Anyone else notice these hidden treasures?

There is no 7600gt agp or did i miss something?

A panel inside a panel? Is that like a wheel inside a wheel or picture in picture?

Still a centre could have more of these panels within panels within it's walls.

Next come Control City, Followed By Control County, Control State/Province and then Control Country (don't mix up wiht ControlCounty though), then Control Continent, followed of course by Control Planet which would be the max for the single IHV's card.

However with the amount of complimentary hardware out there, it's likely all be connected through .NET's control SolarSystem, working in conjunction with the LAN's Control Galaxy which would then connect to everyone else via the WAN's Control Universe (one controller to rule them all 8) ).

Of course there would be theorized supposed alternate universes for Apple and Linux, but really what settings are you going to change on those? Screensaver?

You're missing the very credible rumour that there will be one.

It's been floating out there for over a month, and this is sorta confirmation of that 'fact'.

It's been floating out there for over a month, and this is sorta confirmation of that 'fact'. That would be so good of Nvidia if they made one cause then i could choose something better to upgrade my freinds comp with then the x1600pro(heck i'd even settle for a 7600gs agp)

I think that's why bourgoiedude is excited.

Personally I'd like them to make a PCI-X GF7 card, it'd be very cool. Not very useful, but cool. 8)

Would that be faster then a pci-e x16 version?

Reply to dvdpiddy

Wouldn't that be slower than AGP?

I think a 7900GTX AGP would be much cooler.

Depends on which version of PCI-X it supported, but in general no, the basic adoption of PCI-X would be slower, the higher end (PCI-X2.0/533) would be faster than PCIe-16X though, but very little currently supports that (533mhz @ 64bits).

EDIT, I forgot to mention they have the same bitwidth at that level, but the fact that larger chunks can move through the PCI-X would give it a theoretical advantage, but once again theory versus practice since it once again all depends on the chipset implementation really.

Not necessarily, could be faster than the fastest implementation of AGP (AGP 12+X occurs on the cards not the slot).

I don't see how with considering we've already got a GF7900GT on AGP and a whole bunch of other cards. But hey, different strokes, eh!?!

Reply to TheGreatGrapeApe

Sorry to hijack your thread a bit man!

But it did keep it bumped to the top. 8)

Reply to TheGreatGrapeApe

I can't get it to even load on Windows x64, my guess is that it's a Windows issue though.

Reply to AwsmGy

What's the resolution?

Reply to Heyyou27

The drivers currently only support Windows XP 32-bit edition as it says on the website. :?

Reply to Heyyou27

I must of not seen that, I'm about two minutes away from just pirating 32bit Windows, x64 has given me nothing but a headache.

Other then the drivers thing (I hear 64 bit drivers are still not the norm for alot of things....) How is the performance ? I have heard that its faster.

Thanks, you answered my question. Wanted to know if Coolbits still worked

with it, and if caused any problems.

Reply to 1Tanker

It's a little faster, but I would rather have everything I own work that have certain things work just a little faster.

Reply to AwsmGy

I had some artifacts in battlefield 2 when the gpu clock at 474 so had to pull it back to 462 just for this game with 84.66 and previous forcewares but last night there were no artifacts at 474/1190 it was great. 3dmark05 point were the same as before 8018.

I got back to the 84.21 forceware and things went normal again.

With the same settings (above) Im hitting an average of 74fps on FEAR test. I don't know what's wrong with this new forceware on my rig.

Reply to chuckshissle

64 version here
ftp://download.nvidia.com/Windows [...] nglish.exe

However it doess not have new cp for 64.
