My grandson is in college and paid the $30 to download the Windows 7 Professional. He did a full install not realizing that the securiy Key that was in the email would be deleated.

So is there any way to obtain the key off the software. I know that once it is installed there are Key Finder programs, but is there a Key Finder that works off the file or disk?

He can probably contact MS about that and have them re-send the Activation key by mail so he can pick it up again. Anyway I think he has 30 days of "trial" before Win7 complains about the activation.
