Im about to get a new processor. I felt good by getting the 631 because I dont need more than 3.0Ghz (but less either) so my best bet was the 631 with Cedar Mill core because I dont want the failure of Prescott. And just for curiosity I was checking prices on newegg and I saw that the 641 was $210 so it was way too expensive, thats when I decided to go for the 631 for $175. But I got surprised when I saw the Intel Pentium D 930 for $195!!!. Dual Core Series 9xx for $20 extra?

But as you guys know dual-core doesnt show perfomance in games right now so I dont think dual-core might be good right now ( maybe later) So my question is... which one should I get? Cedar Mill P4 631 or Pentium D 930???

Have in mind im a use the processor for FULL GAMING.

You won't regret getting a Dual Core. In the future, more and more applications/games will be optimised for dual-cores and then you will start to see a significant performance gain.

But will it show a good perfomance right now? Because Im thinking of getting a nForce 5 motherboard as soon as they get released. So I want to get the processor now to have it ready when I get the motherboard. Or should I wait to get the processor at the same time as the motherboard to see if prices go down?

Then I Guess Ill go for the P D 930 ^^

same thing as the P4 631 the only differences

No Hyperthreading but Dual-Core

On the other hand they are the same, 3.0Ghz, 2mb cache, 800 FSB, 65nm etc
