I'm going to be building a new system and I'm not too sure about the processor. I'm trying to decide on either the AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ or the AMD Athlon 64 3700+. I've heard that the 3700+ is a strong processor but I kind of what a dual-core one. I've also heard that the dual-core processors have some problems since not all applications and games are sapporting dual-core. I have a Maximum PC magazine that shows some boosts that you can do to your dual-core. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm going to keep this processor for about four years, and use it for gaming, video editing, and other stuff like that. Your help would be much appreciated.

dual core definatley,if you look at benchmarks the fps in gaming is slightly lower than a single core but most of the time there isnt much difference.unless your hard core gaming, dual core offers much more
