FarCry, Doom3, Half-life 2 issues please help!

Ok first with FarCry, i figured out thats its the lighting thats giving me these really bright textures does the patch fix this? now Half-life 2 when my comp starts up or when i try to open it i get: Win32 StructuredException at 020C825F Attempt To Read From Virtual Address 898324483 withought appropriate access rights. I tried checking google but nothing on this problem. Ok now Doom 3, so i download Doom3 and the expansion pack ROE and when it ask for the cd-keys i type them in (i tpyed the same ones in to install the damned thing) and it says both of them are invalid, any ideas? man this sucks these games are the reason i bought this comp so i could play them, WHAT IRONY!!! Please Help Thank You

Same for wich problem? i fixed the farcry patch, the hl2 will only work when im on the internet, doom 3 i dont have a clue.

Sorry I mean I fixed my farcry lighting with the patch. Is the Cd-key case sensetive? Sorry im no more help than that. I did notice you don't have much RAM. Is that correct that you only have 256? That might be the HL problem. I have 2x512....1gb matched pair Corsair xms ram pc3200.

lol squeaking bye, it plays toatley fine on 256 just bad texture quality (why do ya think they put em at diff levels
for poor ppl like me) ya im ordering a gig soon, although i have noticed that nf2 boards use alot more ram than my old via 880, except thank god i have less problems. the hl2 issue is toatelly hardware redundent and there is no screen that comes up saying if i want to play it in offline mode, its just an error message. i really friggin wanna play Doom3 though, maybe ill just have to buy the retail version......lol! no, maybe ill keep tryin. If it wasn't for the fact that I'm in a different country from my computer I'd almost (only almost) burn it and mail it to ya. But then I don't agree with the pirating of good games. ) And how broke is broke. as someone else said it's only $12 at the moment.

in half life you must at least have 512 ram to have the game run at the original textures. What HL2 does is if you have lower than 512 RAM,e.g 256RAM it sets your render to using directx 9.0 and your shaders to directx 8.0, even if you were to have a graphic card that exceeds the recomended hardware. you can override this, i have done it before but that you'll just have to find it out yourself, coz i cant remember how i did it. Its on the net somewhere... but trust me, its just better if you buy more RAM, it'll help you out for all the other games you want to play. Doom 3? that is a resource hungry monster, so is Riddick. And yes, I LOVED Riddick, for me its actually better than what Doom 3 could offer. So here's a convert ...
