Check this out....maybe i'm overreacting but I purchased a thermaltake rythm liquid cooling system from ZIPZOOMFLY.com on feb 17. I have been buying all my parts from them and have spent well over $3000 with them since jan 20. Here is the deal I go to put it all together last week and the thermaltake had been used(i dont recall purchasing a used one) I was a little upset but figured oh-well then to my supprise the coolant pump's output had been broken off and was leaking coolant inside the case. LUCKILY i hadnt turned the computer on at that point. So I contacted ZIPZOOMFLY and they wont take it back or replace it. They tell me the manufacturer will , then thermaltake said it was abuse and would charge to fix it. HELL I didn't tear it up it came to me like that. Also I would have been suspect if the item had came looking like it had been used but it came shrinkwrapped as if it were new. I told zip this and they saids I should have found this when I recieved it. Now how the hell am I suppoosed to do that wh=en at that point all I had was a MOBO and a PSU...... Is it me or is that BS. I know this doesnt really belong here but I do know this will help other's from being SCREWED from zipzoomfly.com and believe it realative to the subject. If you are planning on building a system buying piece by piece do so at your local store or at another place.... DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE I DID. |

Yes, do not make the mistake of signing for goods, failing to inspect them, installing them, breaking them, and then trying to blame someone else, and have them pay the bill.

I would send Thermaltake a nice little e-mail, stating the facts, then explain

I have to agree with everyone else here... Retail stores in general have return policies of specific lengths (Varying depending on the item of course) If you didn't inspect the product until after the return period is over, the retailer is under no obligation to do anything for you. |

I would have installed the parts in an existing computer but the MOBO i have is the (honestly) size of my dell. also if something isnt broke Dont fix it ....Right? so why would I install a BIG liquid cooling system on a DELL....LOL But I do agree with you I should not have done it this way but at the time I didn't know I thought it was a good Idea. I had a great experiance from newegg a couple years ago I had bought a digital camera in the beginning of August and decided to give it to my mother for Christmas .... Christmas came and it would not save pic's to the SD card. Newegg took the item back with NO QUESTION's...... Now thats good buisness. I would have bought all my parts form them but at the time they didnt have all the part's I wanted and were a little more expensive...... |

See that's HOOD... Why won't they ship to Canada? They will ship 4000 miles away to Hawaii or Alaska Hell they will even ship to the UK But not to canada... I have learned my lesson of you get what you pay for. I thought I already Knew that because I bought all quality part's but I guess sometimes It's the service also that you have to look at. Just a quick run down of my system.... A thermaltake armor case(yea its big) A Asus a8n premium MOBO , a AMD dual core 4800 cpu(damn it's fast-I recommend for an AMD), a thermaltake 680watt PSU a Asus 7900 gt-top256 ,2 seagate 200 gig hd's , a creative z2 platinum sound card. a Sony cd/dvd+/-r/rw a Plexor atapi dvd/cd , a mitsumu 7 in 1 A drive , a coolermaster HD cooler and temp monitor , The Thermaltake Rythm liquid cooling system, 3 120mm fans and 2-80mm fan's, An ATI all in wonder Tuner card, 2 gig's Kingston memory and a Belkin surge protector/voltage regulator with 70 minutes run time after power outage, Window's XP and a 61 inch hitachi widescreen to see it on.. The sound comes from 9.1 yamaha reciever optically and sent to Klipse speaker's. So did I do a good job guy's?......LOL And people wonder why I couldnt just break down and buy it all at once....lol I had to buy piece by piece. Just remember ---DO NOT BUY FROM ZIPZOOMFLY.com....LOL I was soooooooo Close to destroying this computer if I had hooked the liquid cooling up and not checked it out first. Guess the man upstairs was watching out for me huh? Cause that woulda been alot of money out the door with the flip of one switch. |

Yes bront I know what you mean on the outdated rebate thing. A couple of the item's I bought from them in this system showed to have a rebabte and when I recieved them the rebate was already past the deadline.....Go figure. Why even offer the rebate as an incentive if it will be outdated when you recieve it..... Guess that was my first clue to their BADDD buisness. |
