ive heard from many sources that the stock clockspeed for 6600gt pci-e is 500 core and 1000 mem.
well, ive recently downloaded rivatuner, and went to the overclocking section. my 6600gt pci-e was clocked (stock) at 300/1000.
now, was that just a factory error?
at this point, i think i should mention that my card is an xpertvision. im just sayin that maybe xpertvision clocks their cards a bit lower than standard, in which case would really suck.
now say, my first theory is correct, does that mean i can safely crank my core speed straight up to 500? (which i wouldnt do if anyone said yes anyway)
OR, if my second theory (the xpertvision clocking cards lower one) is correct, there should be a reasonable explanation behind this, right? i'd like to know what that is.
OR, is the 6600gt pci-e's stock core clock actually 300?
hope someone answers soon!!
edit:hmm.. maybe i shouldve posted this in the graphics and displays section instead of overclocking.. >.<
