I could sure use some help.

The thread about Bill Lyons' Golden Hawaii caught my attention so I
downloaded it. Following the instructions made installation a snap. All of
the flights and aircraft are now available in the FS9 menus, however I have
hit a major snag!

When I click the "fly now' button the chosen GH flight loads. I get about
30 to 60 seconds of normal FS ops (Aircrafts, sceneries, views, vc, etc.)
but then my PC goes black and starts a complete reboot. I had the same
problem with RealAir's C172 but gave up on that one long ago. No other
downloads or add-ons have caused this problem. ( I have PMDG 737, Abacus
Private Pilate and a few others)

I would really like to get to enjoy this add-on; what I can see of it in the
few seconds I can get it to run looks fantastic! Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Rand

P.S. Does anyone know how to modify one's email addy in Outlook Express'
news reader so that I don't get spammed to death?

I have been playing around with it since I first posted. Here is another
interesting phenomenon: If I select the Golden Hawaii option but fly an FS9
default aircraft the program runs without rebooting. I flew the default
Piper Cub for an hour. However, as soon as I tried to change to an aircraft
that came with Golden Hawaii (alt/aircraft/Sikorsky) I got the add-on bird
for 5 seconds and then ... reboot! Weird.

I also tried to fly the GH aircraft with the "Original MS" selected. I was
able to fly around Tamp Bay for 5 minutes before the PC went into reboot
mode. Weirder.

I have spent the better part of my Saturday trying make this thing work.
Weirdest. :p

You may find this hard to swallow but, rebooting is almost always a hardware
problem. Why would an aircraft cause this problem?

Because some aircraft really tax your system to the breaking point.

Try taking the cover off your case and see if that stops the rebooting. If
it does, you need a better cooling system.
