Recommend a bootable PCI IDE controller Card

My intel motherboard recognizes my 250 GB hard drive in the bios but when installing windows xp pro it goes up to 131 gb. My intel motherboard does have the latest bios version. Can anyone recommend a good bootable pci ide controller card and that can recognize hard drives larger than 137 GB?
