Hi, need some help re : Abit vs Asus

Im based in the UK and I have been asked to build a budget system that will be used for Video editing based on an Athlon 64 socket 939 processor .


In the past I have built my Audio spec machines around Abit AV8 3rd eye with AGP graphics.


Looking at the current ABit Asus boards ( KN8-AN8 / A8N ) and using a 6800 graphic card, what Mobo would you suggest from that price range and are there any issues to watch out for ?

Overclocking is not required if that helps.


or would it be best to stay with an AV8 and AGP for a budget system ? and use a dual core Athlon with 4 gig ram if I wont gain anything going to PCI e from AGP ?

You also might want to consider something like an NF-95
http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=391621 which includes reasonable integrated gfx - you may not need that 6800 & that's going to save a chunk of your budget for more RAM etc.
