I am getting a Color Laser Printer for our office, I really hate this
responsibility but hopefuly I've managed to isolate the 2 best options
for my price range and usage.

Well to cut to the chase I wanted to know which would be the better
printer: The Lexmark C510n OR HP 3700n? Our network has both Win & Linux
hosts, however this is not an issue as both printer support Postscript.

Can anyone supply, with any conviction, which would be the better printer?

Too late I ordered the C510n. The HP 3700n was a freekin RIPOFF. No
wonder HP left out Postscript support in the 3550, trying to force
consumers to pay almost double the price for what I think should be a
pretty standard feature for anything when paying that kinda price..

Wow.
I have had two HP printers that I bought because of my perception of
quality.
I laserjet 1100 and a laserjet 3200.
The 1100 started pulling through multiple pages after about 1 year.
The 3200 scanner software no longer works despite repeated attempts to
uninstall and reinstall. The fax will lock up (with no indication -
stops receiveing faxes).
All problems are known issues according to the HP boards and are not
fixed unless you represent a large company (also on the boards).

I am in the marrket for a color laser and I doubt it will be HP.
I am actually looking at Samsung CLP-5xx series for low-med small
office use.
