It is that possible? I can not upgrade my motherboard with 9xx?
It is only a driver issue or is about soket or chipset? Please help me to understand.
When i bought this motherboard last hawloween, it was pretty advanced. The chipset is very popular, and it has so many features. Pentium D 830 was so popular as well. I find out only 7 or 8 months later, there are better processors with lower prices than my 830. I wish i could upgrade it too, but i can not unless i replace the whole motherboard. I am not gonna do that because p d 830 overclocked easily to 3.7 ghz still exceed my expectations. I know there are faster processors out there, but this processor can run faster than amd x2 440, and pd 830 costs a lot less expensive compared to X2 440. So i can not complain.

BIOS v. 905 allowed the P5ND2-SLI and the P5ND2-SLI Deluxe to support the Pentium D 900 series. Asus took it off their website after Nvidia made an announcment saying how only the dual 16x PCI-e motherboards are compatiable with PD 900 CPUs.
Does P5ND2-SLI series motherboard support Intel 965XE 955XE 950 940 930 920 CPU ?
Answer
No. Because the NVIDIA nForce4 SLI chipset on the motherboard cannot support 65nm Technology CPU due to chipset limitation.
Conclusion... I bought this motherboard like 4-5 month ago and now I need again to change my motherboard!
But I love this motherboard is fantastic, I never had any problem!

i believe you said it right. but how come other people keep saying they can run this motherboard with Pd 9 serie.

It is because they had a BIOS driver version made for the 9xx series that Asus removed from the website.
But if you read the forum, they have some issues with those drivers. So I think that if Asus decided to remove them, it because there is a valid reason. Take a look here
This is kind of upsed, but I can't do nothing! And if I want a dual core processor I don't want to buy the 8xx series. If I want the 9xx series or Conroe I need to upgrade my M/B!!
