Hi

I got my new system, but i got problem.. It's a P4 805, oc now and it seem to run fine at 3.8ghz.
So the board is a Asus P5ld2
2 dimm ddr2-5400 : Corsair TwinX2x1024

So i ran at 190 fsb and a vcore of 1.425. The ram is put at auto. And at the boot login, it was written that he detect pc-4800.

So Does i have to put the RAM voltage at a certain value ? Like increase it at 2 V ? Right now is at auto.
I have try to select the max ram choice, but the system freeze when i select it. So any advice about the setting...

Thanks

Opcod,

You will need to take the ram setting off auto and select the correct ram speed you want.

I have just done the same thing to my new system and chose to set the ram to 667FSB. I am still in the fine tuning pocess so I may go up to the full 675FSB at some point.

OK, this is what I have done. May be slightly different in your bios.

In mine, where I set the FSB for the CPU, I can also set the FSB for the RAM. I changed mine here to 675.

I also then took the memory timing off auto and have set them to 4 4 4 11 at this stage. I am still tweaking these setting to see if I can improve performance.

Hope this helps.
