I experienced some unexplained stituation with my newly purchased ACER Aspire
2010 notebook which was pre-loaded with XP Home, the notebook will hanged
when I right-click my mouse over any of the drives (i.e. Crive, Drives
and the built-in DVD/CD R-W Combo-drive) from My Computer.
There is no problem for me to right-click over other files folders and/or
programmes in any other locations.
I did not encounter any other problem except on the above.

Check your startup settings to find out if software running in the
background is causing this. Applications that start with Windows can
be found here:
- the WIN.INI, section [windows], entries "run=" and "load="
- the Registry keys
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices
- the folders
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\ALL USERS\START MENU\PROGRAMS\STARTUP
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\{username}\START MENU\PROGRAMS\STARTUP
