I'm wondering if this is worth purchasing? I just bought a 7900GS AGP video card to upgrade my old 9800PRO AGP card and I'd like to feel safe running it as money is not exactly easy for me to come by these days. I'd like to protect my investment, I game daily and will need this setup through atleast this time next year.
What are your guys thoughts on this VGA cooler? Will it work with my AGP 7900GS video card? Do you guys like yours?
I was reading that they run warm when/after gaming and I was hoping to keep it cooler.. I dont have and wil not have air conditioning this summer it gets pretty warm in my room here. I guess I'll have to monitor it and open up the side of the case if it becomes a problem..
Does anyone have a modified cooler they'd care to show/explain to me?
The tide water doesn't work much better than heat-pipe coolers, which are much cheaper.
It's biggest advantage is that it pumps hot air out of the case, which heat-pipe coolers won't do.
Still, you can get a good heat pipe cooler for much less. KuForumula VF1 Plus, Thermalright V1 Ultra, Zalman VF900-Cu, Evercool Turbo2... take your pick.
