any one try to voltage mod p5wd2-e

talking about the voltage droop mod cause i get some serious drop off and just wondering if the pencil mod has been tried or any other mod. and if anyone has the starting / ending resistence bewtween pin 17-18.

also p5ns2 has the same droop circuitry anyone?

I am just researching what mod i should do any info will help, thanks in advance

I think that both boards use the same voltage regulator circuit's not sure maybe if you can post some detailed pics of the cpu area can figure it out (looking for a 20+pin chip) , If it is the same like a assume look for a chip with 28 pins should be "ADP3181" http://www.analog.com/en/prod/0%2C2877%2CADP3181%2C00.htmlif you have it you can do Proth's ghetto mod aka pencil mod search ocforums.

Cheers for that, I'm gonna try the pencil mod.

Except I'll add a small dab of eletrically resistant glue so the bit of graphite doesn't go a-stray.
