Bit of a newbie!

Ive just built my new PC, very happy with it!

Ive got 2GB of OCZ Dual Channel Ram, its 2 1gb sticks, I was just wondering what slot's they are best going in, at the moment there in slot's 1 and 3 and ive not changed anything on the BIOS. Just wondering if there better in 2 and 4 and if I should change any BIOS settings?

Also im not to clued up on BIOS settings so is there anything that needs changing?

The spec is:

ASUS GForce 7900GTX, 2GB OCZ RAM, X2 4800+, DFI Lanparty Expert.

Thanks for your help!

Sam

Sorry I posted this in the Overclocking motherboard section by accident so if a mod could please delete from there it would be appriciated!

Out of habit i allways go 1 and 3, unless of course i have a bad slot then it's 2 and 4.

Download cpu-z and make sure your ram is running at it's rated speed =]

Doesnt it depend on the motherboard? I'm pretty sure I've had mobos that wanted slots 1+2 for dual channel operation.

Whats does the motherboard manual say?

I would use the orange slots.

Read the build guide and the stickys over at www.dfi-street.com then re-read them. Its a wealth of info that you will not find anywhere else.
