Put my sound device in that came with the motherboard, installed the drivers but still got no sound!

Do I have to change something in the BIOS to get sound?

Ive taken the jumpers off so it should work!

Cheers, Sam

If I understand correctly, you put in a separate soundcard, its drivers, and now you have no sound. Possibly you need to go into the BIOS and disable the on board sound. As it is, there may a driver conflict and the computer doesn't know which to use, so it does nothing.

If you are just running an onboard sound system, no add in card, then you first need to go into the BIOS and make sure the AC97 is enabled as soberpyro wrote, and then make sure that you have the speaker lines connected to the correct sockets. Also, make sure there are no other drivers present that could cause a conflict.
