Printout Alignment Problem

As I type up song lyrics, I type the guitar chord above the relevant
word/part of word where the chord change happens.
The resulting printouts show the lyric lines are as I typed
them...........but the chord changes above the lyrics have been printed
various spaces to the right of the page and are out of sync.

Switching between both of my printers gets me the same result.
Whether printing from the page or saved file I can't get an exact copy as
typed.

Could somebody help and put me on the right track to solve this dilemma.

Many thanks,

TerryS.

Use TAB to align the chord above the word. That is, when you want a
chord above a given word, TAB instead of SPACE to that word, the TAB
above the line until you are above the word. The two will line up. You
can reset TAB spacing for finer control.

Alternatively, use a fixed width font such as Courier.

This is probably a font problem. With many fonts not all the letters are the
same width/spacing. This makes it look nicer but makes it harder to align
characters on two lines. Try using a fixed pitch font.

Which program are you using?
Seems to be a program configuration issue.

Thanks to those who kindly responded to my original post.
A change of font and settings has given me the desired results.

Cheers,
TerryS.
