It should be more than enough, maybe even for a SLI or Crossfire system. I have an Antec 550 True Power II and it runs my system perfectly. For my specs look at my sig.

There is a review on this site where some 550w power supplies are put to the test. The ones reviewed survived max load. Some may not. You might want to check it out.

first off ur system isnt power hungry, the 7699GT doesnt even need aux. power.

at the thread author, omg, for 80 bucks ur getting ROYALLY ripped off.

I dunno about Intels power consumption in conroe but im sure it will be a nice chunk and highend gfx use a lot of power too, that PSU doesnt deliver crap on its 12v rails (most of ur PC parts are run by this rail)

for the price of 80 dollars stay away from the thermaltake PSU

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817103931

83 dollars and it will kick Thermaltakes PSU in the nuts repeatedly.

Penqwin its a 7600GT and I know the power requirements.

Still the Antec Truepower II 550 is plenty for what this person needs and for whoever else needs something similar.

Since you are on the PSU subject. Do you mind recommending a good 550 Plus PSU which is also quiet?

I am puting together a parts list for a HD Video editing system. My current system will not do the trick and it is loud with the 6000 rpm cpu fan. Noise was not a factor before but it does sound like a hair dryer and the 500 watt PSU is too old to handle new equipment requirements.

Right now the money is in an overclocked Pentium D 805. Overclocked at 4.1 GHZ with a water cooler, TH states it sucks all of a 500 watt PSU. I would also love to get my hands on the 8 phase WS mainboard from Asus but it is not available in the US. When you add the Black Magic and graphics boards plus all the other devices, this system is going to really suck the juice.
