Need advice on buying computer

Hey, today a folder from dell came in the first PC i noticed was this one.

DELL Dimension XPS 700

intel Pentium D Processer 930
(3 Ghz, 2x2 MB L2 Cache, 800 MHz FSB) - This is Dual Core Technology!
2048 MB DDR2 RAM, 533 Mhz
160 GB SATA Harddisk
256MB PCI-Express nVidia GeForce 7900GS
Creative Labs Audigy 5.1 Soundcard Inc. FireWire OEM
16xDVD+/-RW (dual layer) & 16x DVD ROM

What iam wondering is, is this Computer worth the money?
Also about the 7900GS card, against what GFX card is it competing? ( couldn't find alot about this card since only dell sells it )

1499 euro... tahts actually pretty expensive... im not sure how rare it is to buy computer stuff in Europe, but i think thats kinda over priced.

its always better to build your own computer than getting it from dell or sumting


also, 7900 GS is like a lower grade of 7900 GT, worse performance and stuff

The Dell PC may be alright but you couldn't give me one of their laptops. Their engineers bungled the mouse pad design.

Dont ever ever buy a dell, go to the store buy the retail parts dude and get the oc'ed rolling papers out while building it Dell suck the big apple core

I have pretty much the same computer, except I have a 7600GT. I built mine for around 1300 USD. If you buy that computer from Dell you'd be doing yourself a dis-service.
