I have 3 dells at my work that are having usb problems. When ever you plug in a flash drive or ipod, they BSOD. However when started up w/ them already in, the work fine. Also i CAN hotswap mouse/keyboard/joystick. It seems anything w/ some kind of storage has problems. Anybody heard of anything?
p.s. the ports used to work, but after some update they quit. these are inspiron 9400s and dimension 9150s

Haave you tried to re-install the USB drivers? If not, go to Dell Support and download the latest drivers, ever if they're the same versio as you have know and then re-install them. If you haven't done so, Google the problem, often find solutions.
