I would get the 7600GT. Here's a comparison of the 7600GT and X1600XT. The 7600GT is actually pitted against the X1800GTO & the X1800XL, the X1600XT does not appear in all the benchmarks.

Word of warning about PNY.

DO NOT THROW AWAY YOUR SALES RECEIPT. EVER!!!

PNY will require your sales receipt before offering you tech support, even though you mail in your product registration card.

They simply suck as a company.

Spend the extra cash (only $30 more after you factor in rebates) and get higher clock speeds, better cooling, a much better warranty and a the Step-Up program (you could use the Step-Up program to get your full purchase price back so you can upgrade it to a 7900GT if you come up with even more cash in the next 90 days).

Yeah I got enough nagative replies about pny already that I want nothing to do with them. I was already looking at the EVGA. I have a EVGA 6800 now. I DID get my rebate from my 6800. They also have lifetime warranty. Im a little pissed I didnt buy it last night. Last night the EVGA was only $149 after rebate, now it's back to $169.
Still taking other suggestions though. :lol:

If the X1800GTO can't beat the GF7600GT in BF2 (GT wins noAA, and they trade blows with AA), there's no chance the X1600XT will.

I think I'll be very happy considering Im still running my P4 2.4 400fsb and an agp 6800. I never would have guessed in a million years Id be upgrading my 2.4ghz two years later with a 2.0!! 8O

the 7600Gt def, but i agree, go with EvGA or XFX, being that they are cheaper, and they more trustworthy.

LOL.......yeah, a while back I upgraded my 1.9GHz 2600 barton to the 1.8GHz 3000 venice. Not anyware as dramatic as your upgrade but still funy as all h3ll
