Hi,
In light of recent findings (people claimed PV150 has a lot of ghosting, well it also has a rt of 40ms) I am considering that maybe the PV174/ CT1744NU (non pivot model) should really be given a chance. Thus, I would implore all those who have one to please post below, so we may settle this argument. Here are a few questions. First, what is your definition of ghosting? In games, how much ghosting is there, w/ and w/o vsync. How are the colors represented on the monitor, and how do the appear from a slightly different angle? Is the top of the screen slightly different from teh bottom (look at this in MS word). Finally, goto http://www.candystand.com/games/cs_shock_cspl2.htm
and play the pool game. Tell me how the pool balls look, and how much ghosting there is.
Thank you, and I look forward to your replies.

Only if you let me see the Umpa Lumpa- Homer Simpson.

I had one and returned it. My definition of ghosting is any blur or afterglow effect in animation. This was noticeable in 3d gaming regardless of settings. Noticeable enough where it was quite distracting to me to play well (though I may be picky) and gaming gave me a headache within a half hour. Same image on the next door CRT and the CRT looked way better both IQ and ghosting. Everything else on the panel was great, IMO. Viewing angles were very good, but like any LCD, yes there is a contrast difference as you move your head a bit, and especially in portrait mode where the top of the screen was definitely darker than the bottom. Viewing angles is really only for acceptable image, but the fact is the colors will change even in small angles. At least in my experience.

compared to a crt, yes. but ghosting with mouse and text was very minimal, and not the least bit annoying to me. The gaming was.
