HX4700 calender button anomaly

Forum Cell Phones & Smartphones : Windows Mobile HX4700 calender button anomaly

The Align Screen utility on the HX4700 hijacked my calender button. Any
time I pressed it the Align Screen utility would run and I then would be
forced to align the screen with the stylus before it would close.
Nothing in Settings->Buttons would fix this, and it was still assigned
to the calender application. A restore from backup would not resolve the
issue. Only a hard reset and then a restore from backup resolved it.

Arggh!

Other than that, how do you like the Hx4700? I picked one up last
week...sweet! I'm loading MP3's right now. I have the HP GPS kit on order.

It's great having both CF and SD slots.

I have no use for NetFront3.1 at the moment as PIE is usable at last.
PIE looks great!

The TFT VGA screen is better than my CTX CRT screen.

Forget those dedicated media players for video, just install BetaPlayer
and you'll have DVD quality video playing at full frame rate.

Definitely needs a protective case. I've ordered one of those tight
fitting Sena cases which allow the PDA to be plugged into the base unit
without removing it.

Any ideas where the ClearType tuner is supposed to reside in the menu
system? My iPAQ doesn't appear to have it installed.

Start / Settings / System / Screen / Clear Type...you can only turn it on,
or off.

So there's no actual tuner application, which apparently is advertised
as having.

Cleartype Tuner should be under Start|Settings|[Tab]System|Cleartype Tuner
At least it is on my 5550, maybe it was renamed in 2003SE ?

I have scrutinised every single icon under every menu tab. There's no
ClearType Tuner or similar utility. I presume that with the high dpi
that such a utility would not be able to improve on ClearType like it
would at 240x320.
