What are your views of this software? Do you have problems connecting
to computers on your network? I am having trouble connecting to remote
shares with this software, while the built in explorer works just fine.

I use the free copy that came with my iPAQ 5555 and can easily access my XP Pro and XP Home machines
shared folders and files...
Any error messages?

you may need to drop your computer's firewall.
This explorer ROCKS

The strange news is that my computer can connect to computers just fine
using explorer with the firewall when I type in the UNC \\servername. I
wonder if there is a firewall problem with RFE.

I use this explorer and it is one of the best pieces of software I have ever
bought for my PPC. I don't have problems connecting to networks at home or
work, but have seen people in trouble because of personal firewalls in their
computers.

This might be the problem. But its odd how regular explorer works just
fine. My computer does not have a wall but my network does.
I am using a HPC bye the way and I assume that PPC's also can connect to
networks from regular explorer, am I right?

Is one using NetBios and the other SMB?
I don't know how the the HPC works file share or the PPC for that matter
(maybe someone could elighten), but just thought I'd throw this out there
for thought. It might explain why the computer can connect, but not the HPC.

I wouldn't run my ppc without Reco File Explorer. I am also using the
freebie that came on my ppc and have been ever since I got it. What kind of
errors, if any, are you getting? RFE usually tells you right up front if it
is having difficulty spells it out for ya nice and clear to (in my opinon
anyway). Any errors to speak of?
